Every so often I'll pick it up and read a few chapters and find myself inspired all over again. I got hooked- Because of this book I have gone on to read many others. It opened up a whole new world for me. Its almost like what Robert Bauval said about the Great Pyramid, 'You want to find out. This is the power of the thing.'
Whatever form the next end of civilisation takes, it is credible and plausible that it will come to pass. Captivating evidence and insights, too numerous to dismiss as coincidence, on the events of past ages and civilisations. I have not found any divergent facts anywhere that contradict or negate the evidence in Graham Hancock's book. To totally ignore the evidence may be convenient, but it would be best to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. We are after all, a species out of harmony with each other and relations are worsening, between people and nature.
Just today, I was talking about this book and a show about Nostradamus and how things seem to be merging together. I found this book to written in such a style that I could read it and not fall asleep. I don't typically read books filled with historical facts, mathematical correlations, etc as they usually are rather dry. Hancock does not mention Nostradamus but the predictions of events from him are similar to the Mayans. I love how he discusses his travels and findings as if you are reading his journals. It makes it very reader friendly.I am now more aware of other sources that are leading to similar conclusions. How can that be. Read this book and you may be opened to the wonders of the world and what might be happening.
However I believe Hancock brings to the table some very compelling thoughts, and a unique perspective on prior beliefs. I thought this book was really something great. It explored another side, challenging the execpted theories once thought proven correct. This is one of the first books I have read about a topic such as this one, but I recomend it to anyone as it may stimulate new thoughts in ones mind and perhaps come to new conclusions in ones prior beliefs. I enjoyed this book found it to be a good read and has me compelled to learn more about subjects presented in this book.
I love this mind-expanding book so much. Hancock is a sensitive, responsible writer whose investigation into the mysteries of our past is intoxicating. This is ancient history sleuthing at its most stirring and compelling. You won't be able to put it down.
